I've been asked to give a talk in front of around 100 people, it's not business related nor does it have anything to do with my job. Do you think I could just wear a polo shirt and some nice cargo shorts or should I try to look professional?

I would put on a dress shirt, slacks and some decent shoes. Thanks, I've decided I'm wearing the shorts and polo, I think wearing a shirt and tie makes it look too formal and I will be most comfortable in the relaxed clothes.
