Would you be willing to eat meat that was grown in a lab?

It tastes identical to traditional meat, but it is just muscle tissue that is grown in a laboratory.

idk, some people get weird about it...which I dont understand because eating the flesh of an animal that rolls around in the mud all day is way grosser than mean grown in a sterile environment.

Same price. This is an all-else-equal question about the principle of it.

Sure. I'm also willing to eat bug meal and other 'weird' foods.

One of my favorite foods is Tako Nigiri (raw Octopus slice wrapped around rice) and Ika Karage (deep fried squid), so traditionally 'weird' foods don't really bother me.

If it's the same price there's no reason to pick it over real meat aside from morals which I don't have

Lol, I had this as a debate subject like a decade ago.

Sure, I would. But unless the lab coats are complete idiots in things that are not science there's no way this synthetic meat would go at the same price as natural meat. In which case yeah, I'm definitely going for the cheaper stuff if it tastes the same with the same nutritional value.

I don't get it either, but even my wife was irked out that they had visible 'suction cups'.

I would be surprised if it wasnt cheaper. Growing it in a lab would be way more efficient than raising an animal, killing it, then only actually using 50% of the carcass.

I bet anyone who says no has no clue what it's like to kill and harvest an animal.

You think meat in the lab is unnatural and gross? They punch a hole in a pig's head with a metal rod and hose off the animal shit before they slice it open with a tablesaw to rip out 150lb of shit filled intestines they'll use to make your hot dog

or

they grow your hot dog in a lab. "eeeww"
