As a liberal, I don't like how academic they have become. They're basically sealed off in these enclaves of learning now, like a dusty old taxidermy exhibit in a larger museum of capitalism. I simultaneously like that they put studies forth and research their positions... but sometimes I think it is only to avoid direct action. Some of the things I see like the book "Capitalism in the 21st Century" which created waves among left academia... I looked at its conclusions and think, no shit free market capitalism tends towards rich get richer? Where the fuck have you been? Have you been outside of an air-conditioned lecture hall in the last ten years?

This goes hand-in-hand with the other creeping tendency of mainstream liberals, that even this election couldn't shake - that liberalism is a determined outcome that will surely triumph in the end. Um, no. It is very likely if we don't fight and fight directly, these institutions are only going to be more emboldened and evil. The future is ours to make, and can easily go the other darker way. And there's more danger of that than ever before.

There is no sense of unity within the party and that's really annoying.
Hell, when antifa works together to be violent better than the rest of the party you know we all got issues.
I've canvased for both right-wing (when I was younger and had less experience) and left-wing groups and there is a world of difference between the two parties. The right-wing groups were so helpful, so high-energy, so ... fun to be around. They'd have a BBQ at the first night just to get organized. The liberals were like "yeah here's what we want you to say/do, here's the papers, here's the people you'll be working with, here's the route you'll be going. Good bye."

I mean this last election with Trudeau was quite different, but before that? Yeah it was just ugly.

Liberals tend to want to take away things I like for the most part. They also tend to be smug without any real backing to being smug outside of being liberal.

Conversely, I don't like Conservatives cause they seem to take pride in being ignorant.

These are just based on the people I know personally, mind you. As you can tell, most of the people I know are shit.
