Nice paying job, but the hours are graveyard, boss is shady, you cna be easily replaced, and the company is constantly changing and not as fun as it once was.

Lower paying job, but the work is stisfying, hours are easy, workload is light, you have freedom, but there isnt much room for advancement, you are the only foreigner in the office, and there is somewhat of a language barrier, but you can study it.

Kind of my life situation right now. I really liked the lower paying job, as it makes me happier, the hours are realistic, and it is more satisfying. However, it doesn't pay what it should, and there is extra study involved.

Life sucks. Help.

In your extreme scenario, the job that makes you happy.

But in a less one-sided scenario, I'd almost always take the money.

I'm kinda the type of person that needs something to do, so the first option.

I'd prefer the second job. Especially if I'm making enough money to get by.

From what you've said, the second one. I wouldn't settle with either in the long run, but the second job is probably better for now. That's assume the second job is a livable wage, and the first job's pay isn't spectacular, just better.

The second job offers more security in addition to more happiness. Kind of a no-brainer - go for the second job

My situation is worse. I'm at a low paying job that I hate, but it's comfy af since I work from home. So my options are 1) stay and be miserable yet retain convenience, or 2) find a better job, but likely have to commute and waste time getting ready for work.

What would you do?

I always think I'd rather have a job that I love, put pays less, over a job I hate, but pays great.

Commuting isnt all bad. It at least stimulates you a little before work.
