Didn't realize how easy it is and how many healthy things you can pack in as long as you don't include too much mayo. I've had a Google about it but I'll still ask here; how much light tuna can I eat a day safely? I weight 110lbs and don't plan to eat more than 4oz a day. Is that too much?

It's just such an easy food and I think I'm in love with tuna salad sandwiches.

Try adding some curry powder sometimes it's surprisingly good with tuna.

That's a good idea. My recipe so far is like

8oz of light tuna
a whole large carrot
half a red onion
Celery (just however much, not measured)
Around 2 servings of dill pickle chips
Tablespoon of mayo
Squirt of Kewpie mayo
Squirt of Sriracha
Salt + Pepper

I think that's it, but that's at least 4-6 tuna sandwiches for me. I figured if I had one a sandwich a day I wouldn't be going overboard with the tuna or the mayo. I want to eat it quick enough so it doesn't go bad but I also don't want to overdo the Mercury. It's just so easy to make and I love the taste.

Ah that's what I forgot from the recipe that I took influence from! It said have both mayo and mustard but I'm really trying to be as healthy as possible so I'll buy some mustard on my way home from work and try it next batch I make.

Ayy, I don't understand why mayo is necessary at all (but then again I hate the stuff) and Bee, what's wrong with tuna that you're worrying about?

Peas and diced green peppers also go well in a tuna salad mix.

I enjoy it, but am more than willing to sub it for a healthier alternative.

Who is Bee? I might have someone ignored in this topic. The tuna I buy is all Skipjack as I thought it was the one with the least Mercury.

Haven't considered peas but I saw a recipe calling for diced green peppers which I think would be a great idea. Jalapenos may also go really well.

(I don't know if you're using green peppers as in Capsicum or Jalapenos)
