Why do I only hear about it whenever I eat Chinese?

There is a high concentration of MSG is soy sauce.

You hear about it mostly from people who have no fucking idea what they're talking about. While Soy Sauce has a very high concentration of MSG, it's a naturally occurring substance found in all kinds of foods, such as tomatoes. Tomato Paste likewise has a very high amount of MSG, so most Pizza in America is also full of MSG and no one cares about that.

MSG isn't bad for you. It's hilarious watching people stuff their faces with all kinds of unhealthy fast food, washing it down with Coke, eating foods with a ton of chemicals and preservatives and then going to a Chinese restaurant and asking, "does this have MSG in it?"

The most negative thing I was able to dig up from a credible source regarding MSG had some kind of links to MSG and Obesity.
