fuckity fuck fuck. an inside source just told me i didnt do great at my interview today. it was the 2nd interview and the attitude of the interview changed a lot from the first interview so I was a bit off guard. so i'm probably not getting my preferred job.

im gonna get drunk and yell for a while instead of vidya game.

so getting a bit more info coming in.

so both days were 4 interviews with 2 people in each interview except for 1 with the hiring manager which was 1 on 1, 15 people total.

6 people are strongly in favor of me. they were all from the first day.
4 people strongly in favor of the other candidate, they were all from today.
4 people my source wasn't able to gauge and the hiring manager isn't making comments on any candidate to the interviewers.

the 4 who were against me didn't think I would be able to hit the ground running for the specific logistic issues they are facing and felt I was too Boeing-ized (boeing isn't exactly thought of as a great company in the Seattle area, about on par with a state/federal government employee by prestige).

So I may still get it. But the feel of the interviews were so drastically different by day. First day was really about how I attack problems generically, if I am a culture fit, how I negotiate, etc. Today was one person in the interview team going for like structured interview approach where they were asking questions which needed to be answered in a STAR (situation, task, approach, result) manner and the other person asking technical questions. So it was just really disjointed feeling where I couldn't get into a groove compared to the first day.
