Last week a really really old man paid with a 1950 20 dollar bill.

YOU NEVER SEE THEM THAT OLD. EVER. Because bills have a shelf life of around 2 years for the average bill before it gets so worn it gets sent back to the federal reserve bank to be destroyed.

I saw another older bill in his wallet, too.

So today I hop on a register for a minute as the drawer i was supposed to be on was being audited.

I see some old ass $20s in there...lets see

all 20s. Now these arent as old as the 1950 note, but you still never see notes from the 60s. Actually, even notes from the 90s are becoming rare, I see maybe a handful a day. Compared to coins where I see wheat pennies often, 1930s nickels(non buffalo) often, etc etc.

fuck old man I normally get annoyed at people who feel the need to shop at my store every single day of their lives but goddamn, come back every day until you die. please.
