Like if you were a guy and a guy that was gay wanted to be close friends with you, but it was strictly platonic, would you have a problem with this?

no, I have a close-ish gay friend. not sure what the problem would be. he knows I'm straight so it's like being friends with any other guy, except he has a boyfriend and my other guy friends don't

I might have a bit of a problem with it, depending on how close he wants to be.
