It's a shit ton of cars, but a lot of folks are upset that very few are actually new to the series, mostly being reused from past games.

One thing I've noticed: they have four eras of F1: late 60s (Ferrari, Eagle, McLaren, Lotus), late 70s (Ferrari, Lotus, McLaren), late 80s (Ferrari and McLaren), and the 2017 Renault

Those late 80s cars were DLC in FM6, and the modern car then was a Lotus

Also, they haven't brought in the full roster of NASCAR and Indycar like many thought; there are only four Indy and nine NASCAR (basically the same cars with different liveries)

I'm more interested to see how career mode turns out because that was by far the weakest point of Forza 6

it's odd that there aren't that many new cars, but also understandable since they seem to have gone with quantity over quality

it doesn't feel like a career mode, it feels more like a bunch of events loosely connected because all the game cares about is whether you get a podium finish or not.

There's no story, at all, just a "campaign" that takes you through various racing events while spouting some historical fun facts at you.

As best I can make out of career mode from what I've seen so far

- There are 6 "series," which take you through the game
- The first series at least had like 10 events, most of which were championships and some were "showcase" invitationals. Looks like other series have more events
- You get "series points" at the end of each race, and a certain number of series points will unlock the next series. Not sure how this will work; can you progress by just coming in 10th a bunch of times? Or do you have to win shit? Kinda reminds me of FH1's progression.
- The non-showcase races seem to be customizable, a la FH3's campaign. Unsure about weather, but they said you can have a 45 minute race in campaign if you wanted. Or just a 1 lap race.
