Fast forward half an hour, and she kinda half woke up and crawled into my lap and fell back asleep. Cutest thing in the world. Her mother came to check on her, and kept apologizing but I told her I didn't mind. Guess she did that with her father all the time, and did it to me on instinct.

You know, the thought never even crossed my mind. I hate flying(not afraid of it, but I hate giving up control over myself), so I was really thankful to have the distraction. I never even considered the possibility until someone mentioned it when I told them the story.

This was four or five years ago.

More or less, the only people who get accused of people "a creep" are people who look or act creepy. If a kid falls asleep in your lap and you start darting your eyes around or break out into a flop sweat, people are going to think you fuck kids. If you just act like a normal human being without crippling anxiety, people will see it and have the same reaction this guy did:
