I'm... kinda a little disappointed. I think both this and Iron Fist before it were rushed. I'm glad that we're getting so many shows back to back but not at the expense of quality. I was very much willing to wait a couple of years to get something really good. They started out great with Daredevil back in 2015. And while I don't dislike any of the shows like a lot of people on this site, I do dislike some things within the shows.

And why the hell weren't The Defenders immediately arrested and tried as terrorists. I mean I'm glad they're not but what was the reason.

Holy fuck Misty's arm got cut off. What the hell? And why didn't they bring the arm along with them when they were dragging her out so that the doctors could surgically reattach it?

Oh shit is THAT why. I was thinking it was pretty damn dark for this show. Don't know how to feel about this bionic arm thing, I'll have to google it.

What do you guys think is in store for a season 2? Will there be more members? I think or rather hope that since this first season was shaky, that means the second season will be way better, the inverse of the avengers movies.

I only got through episode 4 before I stopped. I just wasn't feeling it. Marvel Netflix peaked at the start with DD season 1 imo.

All I care about is Daredevil season 3 and The Punisher. The rest of the Netflix Marvel shows are boring.

Overall I liked it. They did a pretty good job of balancing the characters and they made Iron Fist slightly more likeable this time around. My three main gripes:

1. The entire fucking plot. Immortal ninjas, seriously? How fucking corny is that. We need something more like Daredevil season 1.
2. How short it was. It's like they realised that all the individual netflix shows suffered from dragging out and overcompensated for it. Or maybe they just couldn't afford to have all their stars on one show for 13 episodes, I don't know. But you can't pack that much story and character development into 8 episodes.
3. Elektra. Nothing about her is explained. What the fuck is the Black Sky anyway? The entire plot hinges on this and yet they never bother to elaborate on it.

I don't mind immortal ninjas, I mind that their big plot that's been hinted at since DD S2 was garbage.

I had an idea the other day in a topic talking about it. They should have utilized the Hand worshiping the Beast in the comics. Have the Beast sealed away under NYC. The Black Sky is what the Hand calls the extremely rare people that are capable of housing the Beast's power. Then you have one big battle with the Defenders vs a god-powered Elektra.
