Current Events > You go to drive-thru and they make you park. How long till you complain?

You go through a drive-thru and you order your food and you pay. You go to the window to get your food and they only give you your drink and say to park and they'll bring out your food. You only ordered like 2 meals let's say.

How long do you wait before you get annoyed? And how's long until you go inside to ask them if they forgot about you?


Just saying because it took me 10 minutes of being parked till I went in mcdonalds to see what the holdup was. Only ordered 2 steak biscuits and 2 hash browns.

First they said they were waiting for the steak and when I went in they said they were just waiting for the hash browns and got my food like 2 minutes after I walked in. Gave me a free apple pie for the wait.

I usually tell them I'm not moving, especially if it's not busy. There have been a few times where nobody was behind me and told me to pull up. I'm like, are you fucking kidding me?

if it goes past 10 minutes I'd walk in to check.

If more than two cars go by me with their food and I'm not on my phone

What are the odds of in five separate orders everyone got something different from you. Especially for breakfast.

McDonalds doesn't serve steak biscuits anymore. Haven't in years, at least in my area.

I worked at Burger King, we'd usually do this to bring down the drive-thru time that HR was adamant about keeping low.

I had to wait an inordinate amount of time for a “fast food” sandwich. In what I have found to be commonplace in America, my car was told to pull around front to wait for the sandwich as they were waiting on chicken patties to be cooked and meticulously placed on a bun with permission cheese melted on top. I guess they weren’t actually ready for someone to order something they’re advertising on their windows. After about ten minutes I haughtily headed inside to yell at a manager – just as the cashier was leaving with my sandwiches to the car.

It wasn't that big a deal - it happens pretty frequently, really.

If it goes 15 minutes a flood my engine then act like my car died while still being close enough to cause a problem for the drive through line.

yea but that's annoying. especially if you have some simple order like 1 combo meal. obviously the people that come in and order like 20 double cheeseburgers should get pulled around and wait for their food while the rest of the line gets theirs.

think longest i've waited is like 5 minutes at most places.

you can sub the bagel for other stuff. i sub it for mcgriddles. i'm pretty sure mine has both the biscuit and bagel on the menu.

steak biscuit is on their online menu but they don't show the steak bagel anywhere for some reason. unless they just got rid of it but i don't know why they would. i know i've ordered it a few months ago.

actually now i just remember about the hardees that just opened up by me. first one around so i finally got to go there. there was like 2 cars in front of me. it took me like 20 minutes to order and then to get my food. they didn't make anyone pull around they were just slow as hell. i just ordered a burger combo and dunno what the other 2 cars had but both only got 1 bag. it's only been open a few months so maybe they're just slow still. but both times i went for dinner they took forever. went for breakfast and i was the only car. ordered and got my food like a minute later.
