He played with him for 3-4 rounds to just get a gauge on the guy, then let it go that long because he even said post fight that he felt he owed the fans something more after Pacquiao.

He was doing exactly what he said he was- waiting for connor to gas out. I doubt he could have gone punch for punch out the gate w/ Connor, McGregor fell right into his strategy tbh.

That being said was one of Mayweathers more offensive fights I've seen

Mayweather is not a Tyson-like fighter. He's methodical, defensive and a counter puncher.

When was the last time May ended a fight in under 5 rounds?

Were people expecting him to fight like Mike Tyson or something?
