I miss the simplicity of it all, before every villain was the immortal God of the universe and the actual dragon balls themselves were the focal point.

Also it had the best characters. Child Goku and teen Bulma were GOAT.

Yeah. It had more martial arts instead of just drawn out pew pew energy blasts and standing there charging up all the time. I like how it generally had a light, adventurous tone, but still could get serious when it had to.

It was only a couple of years ago where I actually watched the entire series and I loved it. I tried DBZ afterwards and just couldn't get into it even though I loved it back when.

Also kid Goku is just adorable. He will always be a weird monkey kid to me instead of an alien.

It's great for sure.

I find Dragonball and Dragonball Z to be charming in their own way with different type of appeals. Hell, I even liked Dragonball GT even if others s*** on it.

Now Dragonball Super on the other hand...

The best parts of the entire series to me are the 2nd half of Dragon Ball and the first half of DBZ.
