That's how ppl with any sort of perspective should be viewing it as. This is a direct response to any of those moronic right-wingers who argue that 'Oh, I am poor and white, therefore white privilege doesn't exist.'

NO! White privilege exists, and you benefited from it. If you were in the same position, but instead, you were black or Chinese, your family likely would've died out, and you wouldn't even exist.

If not for America's history of racism, ALL of those poor whites and immigrants would have died out generations ago, instead of JUST some.

But BECAUSE of America's history of racism, A TON of blacks and 1800s immigrant Chinese and other marginalized minorities DID die out or remained dirt poor. The only ones that survived are the cream of the fucking crop who endured 200 years of marginalization and broke through. If not for institutionalized racism, ALL of these black and Chinese families that were here in the 1800s would now be in the same exact socioeconomic and political position as your typical rich and upper class WASP family..
