i didn't know her too well but we were in the same grade. she died in a car accident and was supposed to be getting married soon. i don't know the details of the accident. she was a nice person from what i remember.

not gonna share it for her privacy. but interestingly enough i saw a post on /r/cars about drunk driving and it was actually about the accident in question.

Yeah it was a struggle store already. That same week two other people just stopped showing up to work, so we lost 3 people that week.

my graduating class was ~120, about 20 people have died from drunk driving accidents in the 16 years since I graduated. also have I think 5 suicides and about as many that died in Iraq / Afghanistan.

yay for rural America.

That's literally insane if that's true, that's like a 25% death rate before the age of 40.

summer after graduation was insane. night of graduation 4 kids died when they were drunk and racing, one of them was a good friend and was wanting me to come with them but I never rode with drunk people.

had 2 suicides that summer and 3 or 4 other drunk driving fatalities that summer. where I grew up every year had a number of drunk driving deaths and suicides but mine was like 3x as bad. the other suicides I am aware of came later from guys that left the military.

Hearing stuff like this really upsets me, especially when its caused by drunk drivers

Dying in a car accident is literally the last way I would want to go, that is so unfortunate especially when it isn't their fault at all.
