I'm not sure if the movie is just glossing over shit but there seems to be an enormous amount of collateral damage going on. Light got a train derailed having people jump in front of it and an etire nightclub got slaughtered. Why are people praising Kira in this movie?

"Come on dad what part of Kira's actions are wrong?"

Light truly became light in the ending scene though after the Farris wheel when he gets the book back and explains it. He should've killed his dad though imo

I'll admit your totally right but it would have solved the problem and Light wouldn't have just admitted hes Kira halfway through the movie! L could have figured it out by tracking Lights dad and Kira wouldn't look like such a stupid fuck.
