I never used ebay. Always Amazon.

Conkers BFD usually hovers around 150 cdn. Ebay is telling me 30... and it ships from Hong Kong? And they got 5 copies?

What is this? Any help.

I've only ever bought 4 games from ebay. One was a GBA game back when I didn't know there were a lot of fakes, and it turned out to be real anyway. And the other 3 were expensive collectors games that were obviously real.

With that being said, I wouldn't buy any games from ebay nowadays unless they were known to be expensive and I was paying that high price anyway. And never buy them from Hong Kong.

Do bootlegs work on regular systems? I don't mind having the non official game as long as it plays.

And I ended up buying a Conker BFD from Saskatchewan with a seller of 99% rating for 40 bucks.

The bootleg/scam thing sucks. Is there no way to check what you buy before you do? No regulations?

typically yes

in school my friend sold me a bootleg copy of fire emblem for $2, the game worked perfectly other than the save file being erased if the cart was shifted even slightly in the GBA. Had to basically glue it in and pray my save file lasted long enough to finish the game

dont buy bootleg

Depends on the game. Some games emulate pretty well but some are just non-funtional or have game breaking bugs. Different versions of the bootlegs might have different issues too. Heck, you might not even get the right game when you boot it up.
