Its like the word queer, it can mean 1.homosexuality or 2. odd and around here that flag means a 1. Southern good time and 2. Symbol of racism

We just use the underused and queer definition of the flag as we learn it to be a Southern good time a good while before the Civil War is taught in schools.

apparently Confederados are in Brazil, too.


I don't recall the name but I think there was an admiral in one of the South American navies after the war who had been a Confederate naval officer during the war so there being other former confederates who moved to Brazil wouldn't surprise me.
