Over the years, I've heard CE say a lot of bad things about it. Why is it bad to work at? Or is this just CE whining about things?

There was that unpaid overtime scandal like fifteen years ago. Beyond that it's generally associated with unskilled labor, and America's cultural zeitgeist hasn't respected that since the 70's.

I don't know about currently but Wal-Mart's history with it's employees is pretty slimy. I'm sure there is a documentary or two out there.

I'm sure there are plenty of current reasons to dislike them too.

I would rather give nursing home rim jobs for minimum wage than work at Wal-Mart again. Did in high school. You have to deal with a bunch of hicks all day, a bunch of classless people, general morons. If it pays the bills and you work hard, by all means there is nothing wrong with being an employee there. But I found a better way to pay my bills and I'm not going back.

I got hired by them in May and planned to work there until I finished college in August, then I would transfer to a store back home after I moved. When I got hired they said I could, but when the time came they said I wasn't allowed to because I hadn't been there 6 months. So right now I'm currently jobless

Cause they don't pay well. Any job that doesn't pay well is considered bad to work there.

Having worked at both Wal Mart and CVS when I was younger, I can definitively say working at Walmart was better than CVS.

tl;dr - they are the largest company in the world in terms of revenue but pay and treat their employees like shit, wrecks small businesses by undercutting them with cheap chinese shit they import overseas, etc
