Like, nobody watched it but I don't remember why. Everyone I know loves it now.

Poorer ratings than what Fox wanted.

I admit, that is on people like me not watching it when it originally aired. If I had watched it and promoted the show and had others check it out, and they did the same then it may have lasted another season or three,

I seem to remember a weird commercial where they said if they got enough viewers to save the show they would give their awards to carmen elektra or something.

that made me roll my eyes way back then but i was just a dumb teenager.

It wasn't poor ratings. Fox legit hated that show and its writers and didn't know how to control it or what to do with it. As you watch more into the show, it becomes part of the storyline. The episode where they all have to get jobs is based on a memo a Fox executive wrote. The PR lady in that episode is basically reading what was in the memo verbatim.
