Hopefully in the future its destroyed or made illegal and banned for the entire world. I think we would all be much better off.

Maybe I'm too old but I really think it has had more negative than positive effects and the positives are very miniscule compared to the very large negative effects.

The world would be better off without the internet and I think I'm going to join some activist groups that are petitioning for it to be disbanded permanently.

You have zero understanding of how the internet works. You'd literally have to burn down every major city and computer in the world, which would probably mean we are extinct.

Damn, I was going to say this. The internet is amazing, and I couldn't imagine life without it anymore. I've learned so much just reading stuff on the internet, not to mention GPS, handy guides and videos to help you with pretty much anything in life, and communicating and playing with friends. I would have lost several friendships if not for the internet. Even social media isn't all bad, I've learned about a lot of events and cool things to do through friends that I would have never known about or done otherwise.

But yeah, it's one main negative is that morons have a much greater voice mostly through social media, blogs, and forums, and said morons can all get together and be an echo chamber for their dumb ideas. It also ruins a great many things just through sheer negativity about everything.

The Internet is used for a lot more than shitposting and Netflix, tc.

plenty people apparently didn't even know other people had views that were different from their peers, so now people are treating old info like it's new and freaking out.

like some thought racism was nearly gone at some point, but anybody who plays Call of Duty can tell you otherwise, lol.

your experiences mean a lot, but people gotta stop using their own experiences as the standard for other people's reality.
