I've covering for this woman from data entry when I'm not even data entry. I'm billing! >:U I shouldn't have to do this... but since there is literally one data entry person, they always grab someone from billing to cover for her.

I want more money for doing two jobs.

Capitalism at work. For what it's worth, my job is a subcontractor thing so the client pays X for Y hours, and based on the location and how long we've been part of the company we get Z from that amount. Meaning, of course, if there were ever an abundance of employees at my company then the senior employees not working dangerous locations/ not part of the company office management staff would be gone in a heartbeat.

There were quite a few times in my old job where I'd have to cover for someone who called out, therefore working essentially 2 shifts for the entire 8 hours.

Same reason why they can put workers on-call without pay, because they can get away with it. If you don't like the terms, ask for a raise or find a better company.
