I don't remember Blood Moon doing anything to something I was currently fighting. It also didn't seem to bring back anything I had just killed.

Yeah. Every time I've killed something when there is a blood moon it immediately respawns. It's gotten me killed a few times, like when it's stals on a cliff.

Yeah, the Blood Moon has no effect on this fight. He was at half HP when the Moon reached its peak. I half-expected it to fully heal him. lol
