As an athlete and a proud American I find this extremely disturbing that another American would be against the anthem so much he wants it banned.

How do you guys personally feel about the anthem and it being played at sporting events?

The anthem sucks. It's a dull song, and they always either get some now-irrelevant singer to do it, or the "singer" student from the local high school who treats it like this is their one shot at fame so they go completely overboard with it.

Every time I watch a game and they bother to televise the anthem, I stand up in my living room, hand to heart and patriotize, every time.
