I've been binging the show trying to catch up to season 7 and I'm currently on season 5. Of all the characters she doesn't seem to fit her role in the show imo. She's always spouting off she's the mother of dragons and commanding people follow her, yet in every scene she's got this scared look on her face. It's either she looks scared of has this motionless expression of a teenager. I don't understand if that's her lack of experience acting showing or how the character is supposed to look all the time. I also have a hard time being distracted by those eyebrows, but that's not my issue here lol.

I think it's accurate to the character.
Think about it. She's a royal, exiled into a foreign land for as long as she can remember. No one ever taught her how to lead. Her entire character arc thus far has been essentially winging it. She's learned that there is somewhat of a tough facade that comes with leadership, but at the same time, she's unfamiliar to it and a bit scared of it. Each new event raises new things she did not consider about her role. Fake it till you make it should be her motto. Otherwise, she'd be a Mary Sue character, which is boring. She is a flawed leader, that showed initial promise because of some lucky streaks. And what seemed like virtue in handling things differently than other rulers is really nothing more than garden variety naivety. I don't doubt a lack of acting experience contributes to her overall affect, but I don't think it's necessarily outside of her character's role. --- "He has two neurons held together by a spirochete." ... I haven't read the books so I can't compare to book Dany, but I do think she's one of the weakest actors on the show.
