I've watched 3 seasons and have heard the rest aren't worth it.

Problem is at the end of Season 2 he reaches his peak. Then after that is an extremely extremely slow downfall.

I found season 1 amazing but stopped somewhere mid season 2 because it just wasn't half as interesting

Season 1 is amazing. season 2 is a huge downfall in quality, but the progression is good, and like other said, he reaches the peak. I've seen 3 and 4 and the only thing I remember is how horrible they are.

Season 3 is the series low-point. If you liked it well-enough you'll be fine with 4 and 5. Keep in mind 4 and 5 are still not a return to form.
