It doesn't appear to differentiate between smoking, leaf or oil vaping, and edibles. Future studies certainly need to delve into that, as much of the issue is from the actual smoke inhalation. Low THC/high CBD as well.

As a pot smoker, I look forward to all qualitative, peer-reviewed research regardless of results. Longterm studies following large groups of people with regular monitoring will be fabulous but that can only happen after legalisation.

Marijuana is also linked to a higher risk of heart attacks for older smokers. As more and more studies come out, it's not going to be any better than Tobacco.

It doesn't have all the chemicals of cigarettes, so yeah, it's still going to be better.

And some people using it irresponsibly doesn't mean it should be illegal for everybody. As an adult, you should have the right to choose what you use and how you use it and should be responsible for the consequences if you use it irresponsibly.

I didn't believe that's what they said but then I went to the methods of the original pape and that's what they wrote. However, later in the results they indicate separating out current marijuana users from past users, so my guess is that the analysis is only done on the current users, which would make it a bit more valid. Either way, the methods are written like shit.
