This is what people say when they haven't heard grindcore.

Grindcore is pretty far the worst metal genre.

Yeah, I don't hear people getting called the F-word any other genre.

One in a Million by Guns N' Roses immediately comes to mind.

Okay, I can name 50 rap songs if I put my mind to it.

Do it. I'll give you 30 minutes from the time of this post to do so.

@Bad_Mojo

Why? Not only am I watching Smackdown, I'm not going to type and search for things on my phone

Go listen to Eminem, Dre, Nas, Biggie, Drake, Jay Z, Missy, etc etc

If you listen to rap, then you should know how many times they use homophoic words

I like rap, I don't care what they say. What I care about is the double standard. That's it.

Probably because it's a lot more common in rap and hip hop than most other genres.

No

But on Eminem's second album, he gets censored in Criminal with the N-word, but can call gay people whatever he wants.

What a joke, lol

Want poof? Go listen to rap songs because I bet there is at least one song on most albums. Newer ones have become better, but it's still easy to find them. Or are you trying to say that rap songs don't have gay slurs in them pointed at people as a negative?

I bet I could, if I take the time. But you tell me to do it in x time while I'm watching a TV show, making dinner and not at my computer. So no, I'm not going to drop all of that to run to my computer and start arguing my case.

It's not worth the time. You know why? Because I don't care if they use those words. For like the third time in this topic, and the 5th or 6th over the past few days. I like rap, that's the music I mostly listen to. Say whatever you want, I don't care. But don't sit there and complain about people using the N-word and then call people gay slurs.

It's not hard, that's my point. Listen to pretty much any rap album. 50 was just a stupid number to throw out to make a point. Could I? Of course, but I would have to sit and listen to full albums and look for them.

Again, for the last time. I don't care if they say that shit, but the people that do say that stuff and listen to it shouldn't complain when they hear other horrible words.

So what you're saying is that black people who listen to rap that has slurs like that shouldn't complain when they hear or get called the N word. Stop beating around the bush. Also just cause you feel that way doesn't mean that other people should feel that way as well.

I know what your original post said, that's not what is being addressed here. That's pretty fallacious logic to conflate the two. Yes, they should have some awareness of the negative language in the music, but that means nothing in regard to what is said to them. Now, if the listeners go around and use slurs like that, then yes, they should have to deal with slurs being hurled at them. It's goofy, however, to say that words in the songs you listen to suddenly become your words.

Bob Dylan has a song called Hurricane, which is based on a black boxer that gets framed for a triple murder. You may have seen the movie. Anyways, in this song Bob Dylan as the lyric - "To the black folk he was just a crazy [n-word] nobody doubted that he pulled the trigger". In that movie, the full movie, not for TV - That n-bomb is bleeped out because a white person said it. Just like when it was bleeped out of Eminem's song, Criminal. Because he's white and isn't socially allowed to say that word.

But why?

If you go to Spotify and look up Johnny Rebel, you can only find his basic Country songs. However, he was one of the "comedy" singers and he had some really racist songs as well, under the disguise of comedy. Nowhere on Spotify can you find those songs, which is 100% fine, but a lot of rap albums have homophobic shit in them, but nobody cares and the rappers themselves continue to use those words and their fans continue to listen to them and Spotify continues to stream their music.

So yeah, I do think it's bull shit that only a certain group of people don't get the freedom of speech everyone else gets these days.

They're blocking songs that have the N-word (Some horrible songs [Johnny Rebel], some that use it as an impact statement [Dylan and Coe]) in them but don't give a shit about the rap songs that say way worse thing about things that SJWs care about. Hate gay men, hate women, hate Jewish people, hate white people, ect. Those songs still get played on the radio, they're still popular with the Left. Anna from The Young Turks, a huge SJW that fights the good fight for equality, she too listens to these homophobic songs.

And again, I don't care about those words. I love rap, I don't want anything taken away from them, but I don't want white, strait men to have anything taken from them either.

ok?

white straight men aren't getting anything taken away

my point in the topic so far has been that hip hop isn't more homophobic than other genres; that rappers just get more flack for it because most of them are black

you tried to disprove that by saying essentially "there are a lot of rap songs that use the f word"

I'm saying that slurs are not the only measure of homophobia

Um, no. I'm saying hip hop is more homophobic because they can call people [f-word]s in their songs. You don't hear that in other genres.

This isn't an issue about what people think to themselves behind closed doors, it's what they speak out loud. You can't have racist songs on Spotify, but you can have homophobic ones. That is stupid.

But you clearly don't understand my point, so whatever. I'm done with this topic for good now.
