Maybe a place for folks to give advice, real and honest, cut and dried and without filler or cliched lines?

It can be any type of question or concern you may have in regards to your own relationship or a friend's.

I'm sure we all have little things we could improve on and or that our partners may improve on as well. So, maybe it would help to share ideas.

Yes, every relationship is different of course, but there are things in common we all go through at one point or another in our lives, and that is where some of us may be able to offer helpful advice.

It can be any question or concern. I think it's therapeutic to talk about things..always. Anyone have any issue they'd like to discuss here? See if anyone else may have good advice?

Just comes automatic.

currently not speaking to my stay-for-3-months gf because she doesn't understand "me" time.

took her out friday and we agreed to go out again sunday and monday, leaving saturday to myself for whatever.

she then continually acts like a brat in order to gain attention and we haven't spoken since saturday(obviously we didn't go out either).

there's practically no advice to give. i gave her attention, i promised to give her more attention and yet she craved even more in the moment.

Just tell her you need some time to yourself. And do your best to quantify it. Like say "I need a few hours a day to myself" or if it's more or less, whatever suits you. "I usually want to just take Saturdays to just be alone and zone out" or whatever the case may be.

She probably just assumes you're as eager to hang out all the time as she is. She might be disappointed but it's better to tell her upfront than to try to do more than you can and have the kind of critical failure it looks like you've hit.

But critical failure or not, you can still be open about it for the future.

Do you feel that she may be insecure? How old is she? And it could be that you just have a personality clash. In general, neediness is never a good thing if it comes from an unhealthy place. Hopefully you're able to talk about it with her if you want to continue the relationship with her.
