My first two years I had the same group of kids and I loved them all but I'm ready to have new kids this year. As for why middle school, I got assigned to teach it through my teaching program (so I didn't get to "choose" per se) but I've grown to love it and I think I want to stay for at least 5 years before I consider doing high school. I can't think of many schools that aren't doing it. Maybe some private schools? I'm hoping they don't make me start doing integrated math in middle school. I know some high schools got rid of the Algebra --> Geometry --> Algebra II sequence in favor of an integrated "do all at once" sequence.
