You guys are overthinking it. Usermaps are tracked by cookies, if you clear your cookies and cache you're off the usermap. IPs are tracked separately.

For real though they probably don't want them to be public so troublemakers don't know what exactly causes a usernap link so they can better avoid harsher mods. Cause they always say if your usernap mod history is shit you'll get hit harder.
