I know that from somewhere... it's like Mr Dressup theme... or The Friendly Giant theme? but no, doesn't seem to be either. I think it must have been something like random clips on CBC in between shows that had this song. can't recall for sure but I think it was something like that.

I think the bananas are violins or strings and the bwaaas are a trombone maybe. It feels like chase music.

Or it could be the same case as why the 5th Symphony by Beethoven is commonly referred to as "Beethoven's 5th Symphony" -- it just flows off the tongue better than Canon by Pachelbel.
