From what I've heard his views are liberal (but that could be wrong) and he is running as an independent
Assuming normally-Democratic voters will vote for him, and the Democratic Party nominates someone like Andrew Cuomo then Trump might win due to the split vote. So I did some more research and both parties sought his endorsement in 2016, so I guess his views are in the middle or non-partisan? And he didn't say which party he will try to get nominated by, if any

From what I understood he has no plans to run. Someone just submitted his name. Anyway it would be nice if he ran against Trump in the primaries, but any Republican against Trump in the primaries would be pretty nice.
