Seriously there's 4 basic things to do to win.

1. Stick together
2. Help each other out
3. Shoot zombies
4. Reach end goal

That's it. That's all you have to do to win. Sounds rather boring and easy right? Some way some how the majority of players manages to screw that up.

Number 1 and Number 2 are generally the biggest issue with people online. All they care about are themselves. It's hilarious to think they don't understand that to win the game, they need to help and support their teammates.

I was a very good teammate in L4D back in the day. People really liked me and I got a lot of friend requests from the game.

I once grouped with this dude who picked the female character. Half-way through the mission he enters this outhouse and proceeds to spam a macro making it sound like she is taking a dump. I cracked up so much since I know those macros are to call for help, but it was so hilarious how he used them. Best moment in L4D, for me.

I liked the glitches of the original L4D before they updated it. Remember infinite melee? Remember meleeing the mounted machine gun enough so that it would launch your character? I hated when my team insisted on using the "Jesus Room" though :(

Like all shooters, there's three things they need to do that usually they can't

1) aim
2) situational awareness
3) object permanence

Basically, they cannot remember what around them, look around them and even if they do they can't aim.

Communication is key. If you're new to the game then stick with someone who is more familiar with the game. It's that simple.

Half the time when I play with randoms they're so bad I'd rather just have a bot.

I can live with bad teammates but the griefers in that game are the worst.

A couple of times when I had a really bad teammate - like above and beyond - getting angry at everyone the entire GAME, I shot them before they got on the helicopter or whatever vehicle was waiting at the end.

I would purposely wait to the end if there was a teammate like this. You just knew this was gonna make them furious.

(I mostly played expert - so two quick taps from the assault shotgun and they were simply dead)

The most upsetting thing is this game is INSANELY EASY and how people still manage to be INSANELY BAD is what pisses me off. You don't have to be a pro. Being a casual player is more than enough to beat the living shit out of this game.

I don't know, man. Expert mode on L4D2 is pretty tough. They really went crazy with the difficulty.

I play mostly Normal, though and people are still bad.

Yeah, normal mode was pretty much a joke even on L4D2. Hell, even some friendly fire doesn't do that much damage.

I only play custom campaigns on Advanced in that game and my usual running crew is fucking disastrous but it makes for a funny struggle
