In a surprising turn of events, my "do you like" series got abruptly dismantled when an over-zealous mod chose to delete my Hitler topic for being offensive. Despite the horrific implications that people should be forced to feel a certain way about someone, it really offended me and I no longer feel like doing that series because of it.

Meh, having a topic asking the question wasn't itself a problem, IMO.
The problem was the people who wanted to be able to answer yes but also be "protected" from being labeled what they are. I'm fine with that "group of people" (it's a naughty word 'round these parts, so I'll beat around the bush...) self-identifying, if anything it's better to know who they are.

Never had an issue with you, TC, shame your topic got sucked down the memory hole.

I personally liked hitler for whst he was trying to accomplish for germany. The jewish genocide is jsuh a huge negative though, that anything he was trying to accomplish was completely tainted forever. I respect him up too a point but in the end, his genocidal tendency kills it for me.

I'm not surprised. I honestly think there's an SJW mod just circling this place in an effort to falsely embolden themselves.

I got an "offensive" post deleted the other day that wasn't offensive in the slightest, I was merely agreeing with the sad situation and offering up my opinion that early warning signs of the tragedy existed. I'll be the first to admit when I am being a dick, and accept the moderation, but that was simply a case of somebody power tripping while having a stick up their butt and throwing their weight around on here because they have no power IRL. I actually feel victimized by it, because of how fucking stupid the moderation was... I was honestly making a respectful observation: no sarcasm, no dickishness, just a sad commentary... Fuck it... /rant

Uh, that's not the same thing at all. Nazis kill people. Neo-Nazis, at the very least, advocate for killing people. There is no reason to give them any quarter. Though since you indirectly advocated for Holocaust denial a few posts up I'm not too optimistic that you'll be into this idea.

About 7 million Germans died in WW2.
More than 2.5 million Japanese died in WW2
More than 15 million Chinese died in WW2

45 million died already in these 4 nations, with 60 million who died altogether in WW2. The history is a lot more than just Nazis and holocaust. In American schools though, they focus a lot on the holocaust, even in college English classes they focus on the holocaust. I would've liked to learn more about other parts of the war but was forced to digest certain information.
