I hope this is a success. Plastic Man doesn't get anywhere near enough screen time.

Holy shit, I'm a huge comics fan and I have no idea who half the team is. I do know of Mr. Fantastic (vaguely) and I only really know about plastic man because of his part in the Injustice comic.

Looks neat though. Don't think it's going to do well though because there aren't any household names on the team.

I prefer the Fantastic Four family from the Venture Bros. Where the Human Torch guy's body lights up when exposed to oxygen, the Thing is mentally disabled, and the Invisible Woman can only make her skin invisible.

I like the idea of DC having its own parallel of the Fantastic Four, but it should be more about the concept. Having direct parallels of Mr. Fantastic and the Thing gives it too much of a knockoff vibe.

Guardians of the Galaxy almost certainly would've never received a movie had Marvel owned the movie rights to Fantastic Four. That's the route DC should be taking instead. It's okay to have "the big guy" and "the chick" because those types can be found in many groups. But having a guy who stretches is a little too on the nose.

Knockoffs just make you wish you were watching or reading the real thing. It's better to be different enough that it stands as its own thing.

Actually, now that I think about it, Guardians had a guy who could stretch. And it worked because he was a tree. This guy doesn't have any sort of inherent difference. You can look at Groot and know that he's not Mr. Fantastic. With Plastic Man, you have to get to know him first.

Actually, she can also make forcefields and is in fact considered to be one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe.

Funny how the Human Torch analogue (Plastic Man) has Mr. Fantastic's powers.

Well if Marvel ain't gonna do anything with the F4, let DC have fun with their knockoff.

She has the same problems as Storm:

1) She's so powerful that she really doesn't need a team.
2) She'd be an ideal choice for Marvel's No. 1 gal, but they don't own the movie rights to her.

Nice.
The team is Mr. Terrific (smarty pants innovator), Metamorpho (elemental), Phantom Girl (phase shifter), and Plastic Man (malleable rubbermaid)

Mr Terrific aint gonna come out of nowhere as hes whereabouts are discussed in Dark Days Forge. Plastic Man was also there. Two of these Terrifics already in the dark mutliverse prequel to Dark Nights Metal.

The stuff Mr Terrific did implies his role on a multiverse level. Is this team book going to be a mutiverse series? Now that would be interesting!

Only reason I'm interested at all is because Jeff Lemire is probably the best writer in comics today.
