I've wanted to visit since it's the biggest mall in North America, if not the world. I wonder how many days it would take me to 100% It? A week maybe?

Hell yeah I have, it's less than two hours from where I live.

It used to be the biggest, but I think the family that owns it (and other malls) made the Mall of America bigger. Plus there's probably bigger malls in Asia and Dubai by now. It still rocks though. It's got a decent amount of stores, but it's also got a waterpark, amusement park, an NHL regulation size/quality skating rink. Lots of other little things for entertainment too. Mini golf, arcades, and probably more I'm forgetting. Lots of food too.

I've wanted to go to Mall of America as well, and that's more likely for me since I wouldn't need a green card to go there.

I don't think you need a green card, just a passport.

Yeah, I went a couple times when I lived nearby. Fun to visit every now and then but it's really more of a tourist attraction than an actual shopping place. Has some good stores that are hard to find elsewhere though.

Live in Red Deer currently, but lived in Calgary prior to living here.

And yeah, you just need to apply for a passport if you don't already have one. Then you can fly or drive over here whenever you feel like it. You're allowed to stay for six months I believe, although of course you would only need a week to really experience everything there like you said. Maybe not even. It's good to dedicate a day to the major areas though (waterpark, amusement park, maybe a couple days for shopping if you're really into it, etc).

It's all right. It's a pretty boring place admittedly but I guess I'll take that over hour long commutes haha.

I can still find pretty well whatever I want here, then there's Amazon for anything else.

Out of curiosity, what are the things you didn't like when you were living here? I can probably relate tbh.

How many stores would you say there are? It's in Canada so I guess the usual American stuff like Gamestop, FYE and Books A Million won't be there.

It boasts over 800 stores and more than 100 dining venues. Here is the official website if you are interested in checking it out, although maybe you already have: http://www.wem.ca/

We don't have a lot of the same stores but we almost always have a Canadian equivalent. For example, we have EB Games instead of Gamestop (I think they're even the same company).

No, it would be the Canadian versions EB Games, used to be Future Shop but they got bought out by Best Buy, Chapters

Some of it might just be what I don't like about Alberta in general. But I found it too small and too far away from everything. Crime also is very high. And, like you said, it's very boring with not much to do anywhere.

I'm from Edmonton, it's weird to hear it called the "Edmonton Mall". It's big as fuck, but you wouldn't really need a week to 'do' the whole thing. The amusement park isn't massive, and you could easily do it, the water park, and exhaust at least two of the mall's four 'phases' in a day.

It was way cooler when it was newer, and they still had massive marble machines, flamingoes in pens in the middle of the hallways and dolphin shows four times a day.

You can easily walk the whole thing in a day.

I've never really been "impressed" going there. It's a mall >_> and like 50%+ of the stores are irrelevant.
