For the last few months I've been sweating heavily from my face head and neck for seemingly no reason. It happens even in mild weather and at times my hair can look like I've just gotten out of the shower. We thought it was just caused by an infection at first and put me on antibiotics but it didn't help. Last week my doctor ordered a test to check my thyroid. I'm also going for a MRI next week. Should I be concerned?

My mom has a thyroid condition.

Hopefully it's nothing bad. You shouldn't be concerned because worrying about it will do you absolutely zero good. Try not to focus too hard on it and just deal with it as it comes.

Does she sweat a lot? Also, does she have to get injections, I'm not good with needles.

No she actually had her thyroid removed about 20+ years ago, so she has to take pills for it now and just get everything checked every few months.

There are a lot of different ways any sort of thyroid condition can go. It can do a lot of things. Honestly, trying to pin point it before seeing a professional might be more of a headache than it's worth.
