In this third installment of what I'm now calling, "I don't know what fucking car to buy," I turn once again to CE to get their thoughts and opinions on car makes and models, to help me narrow down what car I want to drive around for at least 10 years.

Today, we have the current gen Kia Optima. Possibly an EX model if my finances even out and I get a bit more cash per paycheck to save or put into car payments.



One of four moderately priced cars within my budget that also offers enough legroom for my tall frame, the Optima also carries with it a 10 year warranty on the powertrain which no other brand meets, save for Kia's sister company, Hyundai. This is appealing as it means I can keep it going for longer, and for less money should something shit the bed later on. As far as looks go, I'm digging it, but doesn't look as nice as the Fusion, or controversially, the Altima. However unlike both, the Optima has more features per dollar that give it a solid value.

Problem is, outside of that, I don't know shit about Kia. I do know that they used to be total econo shitboxes built to just be the cheapest thing you could buy. But apparently, that's not the case anymore.

I know nothing about it other than someone at my work got one and it looked surprisingly cool for a Kia.
