Restricting firearms from the mentally ill is pretty fucked up too because of the side effects of such a proposal. Having to see a psychologist before being allowed to purchase a gun is insane, and if not that, not being allowed to own a gun just because you had something like clinical depression at one point is ridiculous and an infringement upon rights. PLUS, I am extremely uncomfortable with the government having legal records of people's mental illnesses and then restricting their freedoms just because they sought out psychotherapy and tried to better themselves. That whole thing is completely fucked.
