I'm 35 and I've only had two beers the ever tasted good. Both were at restaurants and both were some imported lemony citrus things. I can't remember what they were called. All the rest though. They're all swill piss water. More than anything else beer strikes me as the thing men drink because they think they're suppose to as a man. Because there's excellent tasting booze out there if the point is to have something that tastes good. Or if the point is to get tipsy then those other drinks work better and faster too.
Beer, especially dark ones is like running your tongue over cat crap and vinegar.

Give me rum, wine or a spiked coffee drink any day of the week.

I do like beer, but I don't drink it that often. More this time of year. I can't stand heat and humidity is far worse (I can be comfortable if it's 75-80 with no humidity, but even if it's 60, I'm sweating buckets if the humidity is high). I take the bus to work, and my apt. is a 20 minute walk from the bus stop. This turns into up to an hour depending on if I make stops on the way home plus pokemon go >_> so in this shit weather, I'm parched and hot as fuck when I get home, so even though I mostly drink flavored vodka because it tastes good and is already sweet so I don't need to add even more calories with mixers, a cold beer is very satisfying.

That "men drink beer" stigma is real though. My neighbors had a party last month and I was drinking blue raspberry vodka. One of them said "finish that and drink beer the rest of the night" which was fine by me because he had a keg and didn't ask for me to chip in for it so I'll take free beer lol :P

I'm drinking a beer right now. And I'll probably drink some more at a bar on Thursday. And then I'll probably drink whatever crappy lager they have when I'm in Zambia for 2 weeks.
