Yes, hate speech is covered.

Yes, burning the flag is covered.

Deal with it.

But why isn't yelling "fire" in a movie theater covered under free speech? There's still limitations in place.

To a degree, but this is much, much worse on the conservative side, where almost every action taken by someone with a R next to their name is supported and justified, no matter what it is. American conservatism has become so rigid and identity based (aka vote R with no thought) that many people along the spectrum (myself included) had to switch to the "other team" just because they are the only ones willing to look at different options along that spectrum.

Littering isn't. Which is why it's ok to take a flag from a burning once it's been dropped in public and set on fire.

What if there really is a bomb on the airplane?

Free speech is absolute as long as you're telling the truth, it seems.

To be fair, this most recent election saw the dems doing the damndest to catch up. If you're criticizing republicans for voting without thinking, I think it's fair to criticize dems for calling everyone that isn't on their side a racist, bigoted, homophic, islamophobe just too stupid to see exactly how stupid they are.

That's basically why we have Trump right now. Even Republican supporters are sick of the Republicans' shit. They'd rather throw in a wild card candidate than have more of the same.

Hate speech sometimes falls under realistic threats and fighting words, which aren't protected

But in general no it isn't against the first.

But that doesn't mean they have to be given access to a platform.

It does mean that a mob of violent thugs can't take your platform away, however.

Ehhh violent sure.

But since I'm sure this was a reference to Berkeley but that crowd was so large that the non violent part would of likely shut it down anyway with out with the smaller violent group.

You can take someone's platform away just not by means of violence.

No actually. You don't have the right to take away someone else's platform unless it's your platform.

.... I didn't denying it was due to the violent element what I said was due to the sheer numbers it would of been possible without it.

Yes you can thats exactly the purpose of a counter protest.

Hell when the girls rushed Bernie on stage that's an example of taking someone's platform.

It's questions of Legality Only come up with things like Potentially trespassing
