I am 31 and started my career at 22 making 50k a year. Now i make 145k and all i have done is eat nicer and nicer food, wear nicer and nicer clothes, and life in better and better areas. I am tired of making more money then ever and having the same amount of money as ever.

So I am not renewing my leased car with BMW. I will be getting around by train and uber starting in August. Monthly ive spent 440 for the car, 200 for insurance, and 125 for a parking spot in my apartment building...all go away next month. Kinda excited, its like im giving myself the biggesy raise I ever got.

For the youger guys out there working there way up...beware that lifestyle creep.

Yup. Studies have shown that you aren't more likely to save money if you earn more of it - in fact the inverse is true. You become accustomed to a level of debt, so that even when you earn more money, you feel comfortable with spending more of it because you survived on much less.

I am obsessed with hoarding money it seems.

Except for games and entertainment in general i try to cut corners in my spending so i xan save money in the end of the month.

Guess my videogame habit carried away to real life.

I hope like in videogames i have bunch of money stacked and i dunno how to use them in the later part of my life.
