Great game.

Well you were warned. I never experienced data corruption but freezes and crashes were frequent

Same.

The only major issue I had was with the PC version. Some of the minigames are practically impossible with the mouse. I'd recommend using a controller even in that version.

Just to reiterate, this isn't a third person shooter with RPG elements, it's an RPG with shooter elements. How well you aim is based solely on your skills and stats

I'm not generally a fan of vague / one word dialogue options, but I can appreciate how Obsidian tried to make the dialogue feel snappier and more natural. At certain moments, sitting around too long without replying can make characters interject.

One thing I do really like is the ability to collect intel on characters and organizations for use in conversations. Since this intel can have a large impact (e.g. certain options being closed off if you lack the right intel), different paths in the game do matter, since they lead to different intel (or no intel at all). Although obviously that's not the only difference between paths, so you have to weigh up the intel with other things.

It's not completely arbitrary either (like, "oh, you've got 2 intel points, but you need 3"), but rather the information corresponding to the intel you collect can be viewed and corresponds logically to the conversations it affects.

i unironically love this game. its rough in spots, but theres so much amazing shit in it that still puts to shame most modern games in certain ways. how the characters are done, how your choices effect the game, how the intel system works, how important your stats and abilities are, how high the replay value is. i beat the game 5 times and always found something new. its gameplay can be wonky, but theres enough good there to carry it and make it memorable. just make sure you invest in atleast one firearm skill (pistols get a big recommendation, but pretty much everything is overpowered by the end).

Yeah the dialogue is legit hilarious.

I shot that one Al-Baka guy (the red beret and messed up face guy) using the "Execute" dialogue...and he was like "What-what--NO!" *gunshot*

I have his beret in my safehouse now lmao.
