Montreal I believe, they went heavily into debt for a stadium that is derided by it's own citizens as a piece of garbage that took forever to built and was basically falling apart since before they even opened it. As for me personally, I just never gave a crap about sports, nor do I even care about e-sports. As for the money thing, it's the idea that not only are sports boring, but the amount of money that the players make is often enough to be disgusting. Then when you double down on the fact that these players are often corrupted by that money and get involved in scandals or do dumb garbage wasting more money than you'll ever see in your life, it turns apathy and annoyance into actual resentment.
