the problem is neither guns nor people. It's poverty.

People growing up in the 50s, 60s, and below were much poorer than today. They didn't have foodstamps. They didn't have free housing. They didn't have heating during the winter. They didn't have Obama phones. And they didn't (by and large) run around unhinged killing each other, either.

There are a lot of places with less gun crimes than our inner cities that are way poorer.

Oh sorry, murdered in general. Like I doubt you will ever see the amount of murder in Vietnam that you do in Chicago.

They were too busy making money to survive to kill each other. Eliminate welfare.

In World War 1, they'd always tell the soldiers don't bother stabbing anyone with your bayonet, kill them with your spade.

Are you for real using something 100 years old as an example?

His example sucks too. You stab someone in the gut they're going to be too busy trying to not bleed out to fight back.

I don't think you understand how biology works

If you stab someone in the gut, they most likely won't even feel it at first because of adrenaline

In war, probably. If I stabbed you in the gut right now, you would probably be too shocked to do anything.

I say the more gun laws there are more gun crimes however I am going to look from the other side point of view. The less gun laws the less gun crime? I am not agreeing I am just asking.

Uh no, in reality actually

There's a reason why war isn't fought with swords and bows anymore

Guns are much more effective at killing people en masse

Exactly, though I wouldn't eliminate welfare altogether. The violence has nothing to do with poverty. Many people alive today who are 70+ years old grew up dirt poor. Especially considering modern day conveniences poor people are privileged with today. There's even plenty of poor or struggling Americans that aren't running around gangbaning, smoking pot/snorting other drugs, and living a get rich quick or die lifestyle.

Poverty is not an excuse for these atrocities. The get-rich-quick, fancy watch, fancy rims, big booty girls, etc. culture is to blame. Not guns, and not poverty.

And another person to blame is Eric Holder and the liberal justice system applied under Obama for the past eight years. A disproportionate amount of certain people being arrested in undercover police stings? Policing is racist, change the law.

New Orleans used to have undercover cops pose as drunk/passed out tourists walking down the side streets. Holder sued New Orleans for that and it's no longer a practice.

In my opinion welfare should not be eliminated however I am all for volunteer for welfare. Some people need a hand not a hand out.

Probably, I don't know. That's just one example that sticks out in my mind. They did a bunch of things that inhibited police to be proactive on crime and patrolling communities. Everyone was walking on eggshells. They still are, though hopefully that will start to change under Trump. But, Trump and his administration can't do everything. A good amount is up to the communities and people who govern them.

People will, as they've always done and continue to do, move away from the crime and violence. But eventually there will be no place else left to go. And that will be that.

Anyone else think it's fucked up that, I myself am guilty of this, that when they read that this happened in chicago we immediately dismiss it as something crazy and attribute it to it being normal? Like why hasn't this been fixed yet?
