Robin had no moveset. He was an avatar, he had no canon class lol

and the game had endless reclassing. Any character could be anything.

I don't think Chrom should ever be added at this point. I think Lucina, Robin, Corrin all need to be immediately cut for Smash 5

but knowing them, they'll keep them in and add the next self-insert character that only exists so the player can fuck their waifu in-game

This. Robin had far more to offer than Chrom did; Chrom would have just retread the same ground as Marth and Ike, and it didn't help that all three have swords, capes, and blue hair.

His canon class is Tactician. He starts with this in Awakening, and has it in other games (such as FE Heroes and FE Warriors). And even in Awakening, his design is based on the Tactician class.

Lucina maybe, but both Robin and Corrin both offer unique playstyles unlike any of the other FE characters and come from the most popular entries of the series. Neither of them are going anywhere, nor should they.

I'd sooner cut Roy than either of them.

Didn't Sakurai literally say he picked Robin because of moveset potential and he didn't want to add another generic Swordsman (Chrom).
