I went to school with someone that claimed cocaine wasn't addictive. I stopped hanging around him after hearing about how he and a couple guys robbed a drug dealer of a brick

I'm all for anyone doing whatever the fuck they want as long as they're not hurting anyone.

Cocaine is one of those drugs that has a worse rep than the reality. Yeah it can be highly addictive if you keep doing it or are predisposed to addiction, but it's so common nowadays and people are able to do it as the occasional party drug instead of a full blown addiction.

The reasoning in the OP is...strangely confrontational. If TC's not cool with it then they aren't obligated to pretend to be alright.

Having said that, if the usage is infrequent then there's not much harm. It isn't a drug that hooks you instantly unless you're predisposed to addiction, in which case you shouldn't be doing any drugs at all.

(I'm speaking from the experiences of many friends. Never done it myself.)

I think the point there is that you shouldn't be upset about their choices if they don't directly effect you and they aren't forcing them on you.

everybody who's never done cocaine always like's to talk shit about it even though they know nothing of it. It's like people who talk shit about people who smoke weed or drink alcohol while never having tried it themselves.

It's fine, you're not a drug addict because you take some cocaine.

A lot of people are entirely capable of using it as a "special occasions" recreational drug.

If you party or go to bars/clubs often you're going to run into people that do it. Doing it occasionally isn't really a big deal.
